Harshad Shah, president and CEO of Hamilton Plastics, managing partner of 3H Group, one of the organizers of CapitalMark Bank, partner in Fire Eye Productions and other enterprises, is the recipient of the Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year Award for 2008. He will be honored with the award during a luncheon on June 4 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. 

The Manager of the Year Award is presented annually by member organizations of Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year. Now in its 21st year, the award recognizes an executive manager who has made a significant contribution to the Hamilton County area.

According to Dan Saieed, CAMOY event chair for 2008, Mr. Shah’s accomplishments reflected all of the criteria to be Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year.

“We look for an outstanding businessperson, but it’s also important that the Manager of the Year be an engaged citizen who is actively working to help others,” Mr. Saieed said.

“Mr. Shah is a self-made businessman who built two of Chattanooga’s most promising new companies from the ground up and is playing a founding role in a third, but he still makes time to be personally engaged in helping his employees through their challenges. He also plays a leadership role in a number of service organizations.”
